WHERE WE STAND
ONE PARTY RULE IS NOT DEMOCRATIC
- Government is supposed to represent the entire community. One party rule causes corruption, cronyism and unchecked power. It allows for secret deals and special favors for the chosen few. There is no watchdog representing your best interests.
- We need republican representation to keep the governing body honest.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
- Community and commitment to family has always been the heart of South Brunswick, but under the current administration that has been lost. We need to put community at the heart of everything we do:
- Put the Fourth of July celebration back on July 4th
- Have a South Brunswick Community Day
- Have a Memorial Day Parade
- Repurpose an existing facility into a sports training complex
- We will create local community boards to organize neighborhood voices.
- We will create an Economic Development Commission to recruit businesses that keep community at their core. Why do we have no town center, no major restaurants and only a few places to shop in our town?
TRANSPARENCY AND EFFICIENCY
- Under the present administration, roads are only fixed for special areas that the governing body designates. It's time to make sure that your roads, your section of town, and you personally are treated equally despite who you may or may not know.
- Taxes are inevitable. We the people however are not a bottomless pit for the governing body to bleed. We need to control spending while not sacrificing what makes South Brunswick a great place to live. Do we really know where all the money goes? Without another voice, a republican voice, we may never know. Now is the time for a fiscally responsible and common sense approach that Mike and John will deliver for South Brunswick.
- The present governing body has systematically dismantled the Health Department thereby jeopardizing your health and safety in the middle of a Covid 19 epidemic. Sweetheart deals with the County Democratic Party have been arranged against the advice of the Advisory Board of Health.
- Create a position of Public Advocate - An official appointed to investigate individuals' complaints against maladministration and to represent you when no one is listening or seems to care.
- It is imperative that South Brunswick remain a safe community. Mike and John will work to ensure that the men and women of the South Brunswick Police / Fire / EMS have the the tools they need to always assist the town professionally and proficiently as they have been. Supporting our first responders will always be of paramount importance! Thank you to all of them for their service.
